Brazil, officially the Federative Republic of Brazil, is the largest country in both South America and Latin America, the world’s fifth-largest country by area (equivalent to 47,3% of South America) and the fifth most populous (with over 210 million people). It is the largest country to have Portuguese as an official language and the only one in the Americas; it is also one of the most multicultural and ethnically diverse nations, due to mass immigration from around the world. It is bordered by Venezuela, Suriname, Guyana, and French Guyana to the North; by Colombia to the northwest; by Peru, Bolivia to the west; by Paraguay and Argentina to the southwest; and by Uruguay to the south. The Brazilian territory also comprises various archipelagos, such as Rocas Atoll, Saint Peter and Saint Paul Archipelago, Fernando de Noronha (the only one inhabited by civilians) and Ilha Trindade and Ilhas Martim Vaz. Brazil is also home to diverse wildlife, a variety of ecological systems, and extensive natural resources spanning numerous protected habitats.

Since Praia do Forte is a village by the sea, the coast is undoubtedly its most attractive point. However, there are other places of interest worth visiting. Below we present a list of the most interesting places and activities in the village.
-Tamar project
This sea turtle theme park is one of Brazil’s main environmental conservation programs. Here visitors can watch most diverse, beautiful and gigantic turtles from close range, as well as different species of sharks and rays.

At only 3 km from the village, it has become one of the most visited sites in Praia do Forte thanks to its historic and architectonic value and to the magnificent views that provides.
-Timeantube lagoon
Although the sea and the lagoon are not easily comparable, we can say that the lagoa Timeantube has a lot of charm. Located near the village center, it is surrounded by a trail suitable for hiking, biking, among other activities, and visited by many tourists. The lagoon also offers great kayak trips, an excellent option for those people looking for a non-traditional program.
-Walking, shopping, gastronomy around the village center
